This is a really cool estate pick up. I can't find anything online to compare it to. The phone guard was produced by Cose Technology Corp. N.Y. New York. I believe it's from the 70's or older. This screws onto the old rotary style phones mouthpiece and lets you know if anyone's tapping your phone. I've never run across anything like this so feel free to message me if you have any info on this. Its complete, in original box with instructions. I don't know if this actually works or not. In the last 2 images you'll notice some corrosion around the battery. The box lid does pop off. It's been taped on one side hinge but it doesn't  hold the top on. I'm selling as is for collection purposes. If it works it's a bonus. This would be from the era of the New York / New Jersey mafia crime families. I've attempted to find info on the MFG. Cose Tech Corp, New York, N.Y. 10016  and also on the patent # 4.136 266 but have had no success unfortunately.
