    Description

DEPRESSION ERA GLASS ASHTRAY made by L.E. SMITH GLASS COMPANY circa. 1930's.
It has a nice green glow due to the uranium.
It is one of the companies character ashtrays that was made during a time (depression era) when folks played a lot of "Bridge" (card games) and people stayed at home and provided there own type of diversion.
My research publication states that L.E. SMITH is of a better quality of glass than most mass-produced glass of the 1930's and required hand finishing. This pattern ash tray was also made by
GREENSBURG GLASS COMPANY which was acquired by L.E. SMITH.
    Approximate Size: diameter 6 1/2 inches X height 3 1/4 inches.
