Applause sign – gift box - applause lightbox - lighted applause sign

Before we left our home up north, we had a party to say “goodbye” to all our friends, neighbors, business colleagues and such. I took care of every detail from renting chairs
(since the movers had already taken the furniture)
, through every morsel of food and drink.
Everyone had a great time. And throughout the evening, my husband called out in his big baritone voice, “Do you like the chairs you’re sitting on? Give my wife a big round of applause for finding these plush, comfortable folding chairs for you!” And then he whipped out this battery powered Applause sign, held it high above his head for everyone to see. And guess what?
Everyone in the room stood up, cheered, and applauded!
A little later he belted, “Has everyone tried the sumptuous hors d'oeuvres?
Well, my wife made each and every one of them—just for every one of you!
So please give my wife a big round of applause for making all those hors d'oeuvres, each and every one with you in her heart!”
And again, everyone cheered and applauded! Those who were sitting, stood up. So I got a few standing ovations! It must have happened 5 or 6 times that evening. I’ll never forget it.
(I was
so
embarrassed!)
But sadly, the time has come to say goodbye to my cherished applause sign. There’s no room for it in our new smaller house
(but there’s plenty of room for the memories).
Here’s what I found out about the sign:
It was handmade by an artist in Holland.
The materials used to make it include wood, a small string of LED lights, an acrylic panel, and stick-on letters.
It was made out of a wine box. The artist replaced the wooden cover with an acrylic cover. And tiny LED lights are mounted inside the box. When they’re lit up, the word “Applause” lights up! Somebody creative could use it as a lamp.
Since the LED lights require very little space, it's still possible for it to actually serve as a wine box, so it’s a great way to present a unique gift
(or two)
!
The light box is freestanding. It illuminates with 3 AA batteries (not included).

I don't deceive my buyers by listing the cost of shipping separately. Shipping & handling is included in the price you see.
I'm seldom available to ship on weekends or holidays, but I'm glad to ship the following Monday or business day (in the cases of holidays and holiday weekends).
I ship via USPS or UPS unless my listing indicates otherwise. I ship quickly--same or next business day. [Expedited shipping can be arranged. Inquire about added cost.]
Items will be shipped to addresses within the 50 United States and DC, exclusively. I will ship only to the address you registered in your eBay account.
I do not ship outside the United States or to freight forwarding companies.
If you live outside the 50 states and DC, attempting to purchase my items will result in your payment being refunded and the transaction being voided.
My shipments' typical time in transit is 2-5 business days after the item leaves me. [Note: Pandemic-era shipping slowdowns have continued to occur periodically, even through today.]
All packages returned to me as undeliverable are subject to an additional shipping charges for re-shipping the item. If I contact a buyer and do not receive a response within 3 days of receiving the item, the transaction will be subject to cancellation and a fee be subject to cancellation and a fee will be assessed to cover my time and expenses.
Please make sure the "ship to" address in eBay is correct at the time of payment. I cannot be responsible for packages shipped to incorrect addresses, the result of buyer error.
